Description

Very rare and an extremely heavy bloomer with one of if not the prettiest flowers we’ve ever seen on a cold hardy Kurume Hybrid, in spring, the Amy Azalea features semi-double hose-in-hose white flowers with soft pink overtones and deep red freckles on the upper lobe. An absolutely beautiful combination of colors all on the same flower. Blooming branches make for stunning indoor floral arrangements. The dark green evergreen foliage on a mound to about 4 feet tall and 5′ wide serves as an excellent backdrop to the flowers. Excellent for partially shaded flowering shrub borders and home foundation plantings. Morning and evening sun with some filtered sun or shade in the afternoon is perfect.
Landscape & Garden Uses

Growing in a rounded mound 3 to 4 feet tall and 4 to 5 feet wide, the Amy Azalea is ideal for use as an accent, in groupings or mass plantings, or as a low hedge in partially shaded flowering shrub and landscape borders, woodland gardens, and home foundation plantings. Also a good one for pots, planters and containers. A fine addition to azalea gardens, pink theme gardens, Asian theme gardens and cottage gardens.
Suggested Spacing:  3 feet apart for solid hedges;  7 feet or more apart for space between plants

Growing Preferences
The Amy Azalea is easy to grow and care for. She prefers a moist but well-drained and acidic soil that is rich in organic matter and part sun. Morning sun with afternoon shade or filtered sun is ideal. Azaleas do not like wet feet so avoid planting them in sites where soil stays constantly soggy or wet. Good drought tolerance when established.

I bought this plant as a Mother’s Day gift for my Mom, and she loves it. It was actually a replacement plant for one that I had bought locally that had died almost instantly. She loved the color and beauty of it so I sought a replacement and knew I could count on Wilson Bros Gardens. You did not disappoint.———————————————–We are so glad you are pleased and we hope she enjoys it for years to come! Thanks for the kind words and wonderful review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG

Thank you so much for a quick and easy purchase process and all-round satisfaction of the quality of products. I love these little Amy azaleas. They are just my size – 1 gal. They are easy to plant and fun to watch grow.. The azaleas are full and lush and healthy! I will wait until next Spring to see the color and if it as beautiful as I am hoping, I will buy more to complete the front yard border.————————————————–We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy them for years to come! Thanks for the kind words and great review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG
I purchased three of these because I love the color and think they will be a beautiful hedge along my wooded fence line. Because they arrived in the middle of a very hot summer I have potted them in very large grow bags until I can prepare a bed for them. They arrived in good shape even in this hottest of summers and I plan to get them in the ground when the days are cooler. I bought them on sale and the plants are vigorous and healthy not tired.———————————————We are so glad you are pleased with your purchase! Thanks for the kind words and great review! Beth | WBG 🙂
The missus knows my weakness and ordered me two Amy Azaleas for Valentine’s Day.
They arrived quickly and expertly packaged.
They were healthy with moist soil, and they had strong, healthy roots.
Couldn’t ask for anything more.
I can’t wait until they bloom!
I’m a Wilson Bros Gardens customer for life now.————————————-Wow! We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy them for years to come! Thanks for the kind words and great review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG

The plants I received were taller and wider than I had anticipated. But they were well-packaged for shipment and arrived moist and without damage. I still have to plant them so cannot comment on the variety yet, but so far quite pleased with the purchase.———————————————We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy them for years to come!
